Nannies, keep copies of the following documents in your professional portfolio. Remember never to leave with a family for nothing other than for FBI and safe driver's checks and upon hiring
Families, please destroy, hand to the nanny or mail to the address on file all personal documentation pertained to the nanny at separation of employment
- Driver's license (most commonly used)
- Social security card
- State identification card
- Passport
- A filled Employee’s Withholding Certificate W-4 form available to download free at irs.gov
- Any certification Authorization of employment issued by the INS
